1 - Collect all your ingredients juices

Use the juices collected in the stock retainer to prepare soups, stew or sauces that can complete your meal




2 - General tips & tricks

- Season the sauce of fishes with a spoon of fennel (dill).
- 2 spoons of parsley and 1 spoon of garlic give delicious taste to carrots and beans.
- Give a delicious taste to your stuffed tomatoes by seasoning with 1 spoon of thyme and garlic.
- Add cinnamon to your chocolate cake mixture, its gives added flavour to your preparation.
- Cinnamon accentuates the taste of the sugar so it helps reduce the proportion of sugar in the preparation of desserts.
- Flavour and decorate your steamed potatoes with a spoon of parsley before serving.
- Add 1 or 2 spoons of rosemary when cooking Beans.
- Scrape your vegetables rather than peel them. They retain more vitamins this way.
- Young vegetables contain more vitamins C than mature vegetables
- The green part of leeks, salads and cabbage is richer than their white part
- If you want to peel your vegetables, put them 2 or 3 minutes in the steamer. They will be easier to peel.
- After 2 or 3 days, the vegetables in your fridge have lost all their vitamins.
- Wash your ingredients under a trickle of water instead of soaking them in water to preserve their vitamins

4 - Tips and tricks for fast cooking

- Do not pack food too tightly in the steam bowls or rice bowl. Leave some space for steam to circulate as much as possible
- For best results, use pieces of food that are approximately the same size. If the pieces are different sizes, and need to be put in layers, put the smallest pieces on top.




5 - Use tepid water (not too cold)

You have the possibility of filling the reservoir with tepid water to reduce the cooking time but the time indicated in your Instructions for use book is for cold water.




6 - Use your steamer to cook a complete meal

With your Tefal steamer, you can cook different foods, not just vegetables and fish. Did you know that you can cook a delicious chicken in your steamer or chicken kebabs? You just have to remove the grids.




7 - You can cook a delicious dessert

With your Tefal steamer you can cook delicious desserts like Floating Islands with Caramel, or Baked Apples with Dried Fruit. In all steamers equipped with the rice bowl, you have the possibility of preparing cakes like an appetising chocolate cake.
